First of all, it goes without saying that we hope all of our customers, visitors and their families and loved ones remain safe and healthy during this unprecedented episode in our lifetimes. There are more questions than answers at the moment but what we do know is that “normalcy” needs to be put on hold for the foreseeable future and taking all available precaution is the order of the day. We hope that all of you are doing that.

Fortunately, as a direct to consumer company with a small staff used to working remotely, there is no significant alteration to our day-to-day operations. We are all working remotely, maintaining social distancing and self-isolating as needed but maintaining business as usual.

Our contract fulfilment centre here in the UK is also still operating while adjusting their procedures to comply with government guidance. Our designated delivery carriers, Royal Mail, DPD and DHL, continue to operate.

That said, our artisan Italian knitwear suppliers in the north of Italy have been totally shut down so there is no way we can replenish any items currently out of stock for the near future. However, customers can register to be notified when items return to stock.

That’s pretty much it for us except to say that, if nothing else, this whole experience has reminded us that there are things much more important than e-commerce. I have no doubt that the medical crisis will eventually be resolved. The economic fallout from it is another story. Many businesses will not survive regardless of emergency government support. I hope that QIVIUT & CO is not among them. However, if it is but I and our team all come through this crisis with health in hand, that will be an acceptable outcome.

In the meantime, we are still here and still standing.

Stay well.
